Mr. McAlpine was previously President, Network Services Group with Inter-Tel Incorporated, a communications equipment provider and subsidiary of Mitel, Inc.

Mr. McAlpine came to Inter-Tel in 1991 when Inter-Tel acquired Telecommunications Specialists, Inc. from Bell Atlantic Corporation. Since 1991, Mr. McAlpine has served in a number of positions for Inter-Tel and its operating divisions serving from 1997 to 2001 as President of Inter-Tel.Net, one of the worlds initial Internet Telephony Service Providers utilizing Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). Mr. McAlpine has also held the positions of Senior Vice President of Inter-Tel Incorporated, Vice President and Treasurer of Inter-Tel Communications, Inc. (now Inter-Tel Technologies, Inc.), and founder and President of Inter-Tel Leasing, Inc. Prior to 1991, Mr. McAlpine was Chief Financial Officer of Telecommunications Specialists, Inc., a Bell Atlantic Company. McAlpine holds a BBA in Accounting from Texas State University.
