(www.WebHosting.Info)    Data102, a regional datacenter specializing in Virtualization, storage technology, and clustering, today announced the launch of a new partnership with R1Soft, a provider of Continuous Data Protection (CDP) for Linux and Windows.

The company states that as a member of R1Soft’s Hosting Partner Program, it will offer CDP to its client base of small to medium-sized businesses and enterprises. Data protection will be available as a premium service for all managed and unmanaged dedicated servers, Virtual Private Servers, and colocation packages. To help maximize sales from CDP, it adds that R1Soft will provide it with a variety of sales and marketing resources, in addition to technical support and first-access to software updates.

“The datacenter business is all about prevention and risk management. From redundant UPS power to nonconductive fire suppression, we enable businesses to prevent disasters. By adding R1Soft backups to our core offerings and integrating it into our services portfolio, we go a step further in reducing risk, saving data, and increasing peace of mind,” said Travis Taylor, Director of Product Development for Data102. “I wish we had joined forces earlier.”

“Continuous Data Protection for Datacenters allows Internet Service Providers like Data102 to implement world-class data protection for its clients on both Linux and Windows platforms. We view our partnership with Data102 as an important step forward in our continuing goal to make CDP more widely available to businesses of all sizes,” said David Wartell, Vice President of R1Soft division, BBS Technologies, Inc.
