Web Hosting Chat – NEW YORK – In response to rapidly growing customer demand for premium data center facilities and services, NTT America, a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of NTT Communications Corporation, today announced the addition of a second data center in the Silicon Valley Area of California. This addition expands NTT America’s premium data center space in Silicon Valley by 15,000 square feet.
As with NTT America’s other premier data centers, the new site is designed for enterprise-class customers who are seeking state of the art facilities for their IT infrastructure. The new data center offers the flexibility of integrating Managed Services and Colocation Services to meet the specific requirements of their solution. NTT America’s portfolio of Managed Services in the new data center includes Managed Security, Managed Storage, Managed Back-up, Remote Hands and Professional Services.
The site, located in Santa Clara, meets seismic zone four specifications. It is equipped with redundant power feeds, and carrier-class uninterruptible and back-up power. Optimal systems performance is maintained by fully redundant water cooling systems coupled with advanced humidity and temperature controls. Continuous monitoring ensures that all systems are fully operational. In addition, a multi-gigabit interconnection to NTT America’s Tier 1 Internet Backbone, along with local carrier diversity, provides the high performance and availability required by enterprise IT services.
NTT America’s industry leading Service Level Agreement for the Santa Clara data center includes commitments for Network and Power availability as well as Temperature and Humidity ranges that comply with ASHRAE standards.
Customers in this newest data center, as at other NTT America premier sites, are assured of the highest levels of physical security with 24x7x365 on-site staffing, bullet proof glass, biometric scanners and digitally recorded closed circuit video monitoring.
“The Silicon Valley technology corridor is an important market for customers who require enterprise-grade data center facilities for their corporate IT infrastructure,” said Kazuhiro Gomi, Chief Operating Officer of NTT America. “Our data center expansion enables us to provide customers with a Tier III colocation facility and the flexibility to add managed services to meet current and changing needs. We are delighted to extend NTT America’s high standards of IT infrastructure, security and performance to customers in our new Santa Clara data center.”
